Yunex Traffic is looking for aspiring undergraduates to join our Marketing team on a 12-month internship contract as part of our Intern Development Programme.

As our cities get bigger and more complex, Yunex Traffic makes mobility safer, more efficient, and more sustainable with forward-looking infrastructure and transport solutions. Yunex Traffic designs, markets, manufactures, installs, and maintains a wide portfolio of international traffic management products and is the UK market leader in the traffic signal business. This includes intersection and pedestrian traffic controllers, intelligent urban traffic control systems, variable message signs, public transport, and car park guidance systems to enhance road safety and improve traffic flow in congested urban and inter-urban areas.

The challenge

Part of being a #TrafficTransformer intern at Yunex Traffic means you’ll gain practical experience working on real projects in a leading, global intelligent traffic systems company. You’ll bring fresh perspective to what we do, helping us to achieve our goals. This role will provide you with hands-on experience in a fast-paced and innovative environment where you will contribute to our marketing and communication efforts, with a strong emphasis on video content creation.

Here is a taste of what you can expect from this internship:

  • Developing your video production skills, including filming, editing, and creating engaging content for internal and external use.
  • Assisting in the planning, creation, and editing of video content for newsletters, social media channels including LinkedIn, and internal communication platforms.
  • Supporting key external PR and marketing campaigns through video storytelling.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to produce video content that aligns with our messaging and branding.
  • Helping other departments with video creation, from conceptualisation to editing and final delivery.
  • Writing copy for various channels, including intranet, award entries, and advertising.

The location of this apprenticeship role will be: Poole, Dorset.

The candidate

We are looking for forward-thinking, inquisitive candidates who demonstrate the following characteristics:

  • You think logically, are willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • You have a passion for video production, including experience in filming, editing, and post-production tools.
  • You work independently, safely, and responsibly; taking ownership of challenges and ideas, and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change.
  • You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation, especially video-focused.
  • Experience in using Teams and SharePoint, with a keen interest in learning more about video production.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrates initiative, passion, and an ability to multitask with high attention to detail.
  • Professional, friendly personality, well-presented, and able to act as an ambassador for the company.

Minimum Educational Requirements

  • Aiming towards or having achieved a 2:1 or above in a marketing, communications, or media production degree.

Recruitment Process

Applications for our Internships will close on 17th January 2025.

If you are successful with your application, you will be invited to interview with our Hiring team, with an initial first stage via Microsoft Teams, with a potential of a further in person interview at our site in Poole. These interviews are typically competency based and a chance for us to find out what your motivations are for your next career.

Our Interns will join the business on 1st September 2025, so you must be available from this date.

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to sponsor anyone joining us on our Internship Development Programme who doesn’t have valid right to work in the UK.
