About the opportunity

As a Graduate Survey Manager, your main objective will be to provide high-quality geophysical support to our clients in the offshore wind industry. 

  • Supporting the day-to-day management of offshore surveys to support offshore wind farms.   
  • Assist the Survey Manager with survey scoping, and survey contracting of geophysical and geotechnical site investigations, in conjunction with site developers.  
  • Support the Survey Manager and developer during the live survey through progress tracking, financial tracking, schedule management and reporting.    
  • Communicate directly with survey contractors and third parties to gather all required information and provide notifications of changes or issues.  
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders on live projects to ensure data and progress are communicated effectively.  
  • Coordinate and distribute lessons learnt with survey contractors, developers and within Wood Thilsted.  
  • Feed back into the internal Wood Thilsted team to support improvements, growth and new opportunities.              

Your background 

  • You should hold a Master's degree (or significant equivalent experience) in a geoscience related discipline with a strong emphasis on the practical application of your skillset. 
  • You thrive in a multi-disciplinary, international environment and speak and write English fluently. 
  • You have an interest in and basic knowledge of geophysical and geotechnical datasets (e.g. seismic, sidescan sonar, CPT data). 
  • You enjoy solving problems in dynamic environments and can articulate ideas, processes and plans to others in a succinct clear manner.   
  • You should have a strong drive and take the initiative and responsibility for your assignments through proactive, independent work, and you should be motivated by creating excellent results through teamwork. 
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, encouraging the expression of diverse ideas and opinions with the ability to liaise with clients and other consultants effectively.
