Combining our deep knowledge of solar, wind, storage, and grid technologies, with our global power and fuels modelling and analytical capabilities, and emerging technologies like hydrogen, nuclear, bioenergy and CCUS, Wood Mackenzie provides data and insight spanning the entire energy and natural resources value chain. We cover supply chain, technology costs, policy and market issues, fundamentals-based outlooks, climate scenario modelling, price forecasting, asset valuation, and commodity market landscapes.
The role
Dive into analyses of some of the most cutting-edge topics of the energy transition by working alongside analysts on our Scenarios and Technologies research team. Contribute to original research on integrated energy scenarios and climate technologies and articulate what’s needed to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement. Learn from our experts while building a foundation for a career in energy innovation.
Requirements
Studying towards a Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification with a quantitative, statistical, energy and/or economics focus.
Wood Mackenzie follows a hybrid work structure, however, during the duration of this internship, the successful candidate would highly benefit from being in the office frequently with the team and their line manager.
Applicants must have the legal Right to Work in the country this role is based in. We are unable to sponsor employment visas at this time.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for
- Strong collaboration skills

- An analytical mind and eye for detail
- Great written and verbal communication
- Willingness to learn about our business from the ground up
- Some experience with Excel, SQL databases, and programmes such as Python desired
- A genuine interest in clean energy technologies, willingness to organise complex data and analyse policy/regulatory documents
- A strong interest in renewable energy and power market concepts, with a desire to understand the key drivers of the energy markets
- Knowledge of programming languages and experience working with APIs is a plus
