About this role
Wells Fargo is seeking talent to join the EMEA Technology Internship Program in Wells Fargo London and Dublin office.
Wells Fargo’s Summer Internship Experience is designed to help you learn more about what we do and the banking sector by getting involved in real life value adding projects. This is a 10 week experience, and you will be paid for your participation.
We will provide you with various learning opportunities and support throughout your time with us. On joining, a buddy – previous intern or a current graduate – will help guide you through the transition from classroom to a professional workplace. Learning is on the job from experts in your team, as well as specifically designed courses providing the technical and general business skills needed to be successful. And you have the opportunity to meet senior leaders and other experts across the company to start building your professional network.
In this role, you will
- You will be 1 of 4 Technology interns in our 2022 program (3 London (UK) based, 1 Dublin based)
- You will have a degree in Engineering, Math or Computer related field
- You will have opportunity to work with a range of Technology teams that cover Capital Markets, Commercial Banking, Payments, Finance, Compliance and Risk, Infrastructure Technology, Cyber Security and Technology Controls.
- Key areas of responsibilities and exposures can include:
- software development lifecycle
- activities and processes to ensure the Bank can operate in a stable environment for our clients and employees. Learn about the different components of Technology infrastructure and processes involved to monitor the performance of applications used
- risk remediation projects to meet regulatory requirements or strategic projects to support international growth and transformation journey. Learn about how projects are executed and tracked.
- business services activities including tools to help capture and monitor headcount, cost of Technology and key performance and risk metrics that indicate the health of Technology applications and infrastructure.
- You will learn about Technology risk management, cyber security, Agile and other technical and professional leadership capabilities.
Required qualifications, international
- Work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired qualifications
- Have the relevant rights to work in the country where the internship experience is based
- Be available to work full time throughout Mon 20th June 2022 – Fri 26th Aug 2022
- In full time education at secondary school, college or university in the country where the internship experience is based
- Fluency in English language – both written and verbal
- Well organized with the ability to multi-tasks in meeting demanding deadlines
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate ideas and findings clearly, both verbally and in writing, to all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
- A good listener and feel comfortable to speak to individuals or groups from a wide variety of backgrounds
- Want to achieve high quality results consistently with a strong attention to detail
- Able to work productively and with good judgement especially when without direct supervision
