The role in a nutshell
We are seeking a Web Technology Graduate who will be responsible for developing and maintaining our web-based technologies that serve our vast customer base. With a background in Computer Science or a related field, you will be competent in modern web development practices and possess strong design and problem-solving skills.
The role will suit you if you are proficient in web propositions that enable growth within an organisation. You will be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement self-serve solutions for our customers that meet business requirements. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms are also essential for this role. You will be able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
What will your typical day look like?
A typical day in the life of a Web Technology Graduate involves a variety of tasks. You would typically manage and attend team / project meetings, refine Web Content, manage documentation, design proposed online workflows including error / exception handling and communicate proposed solutions to stakeholders based on the analysis they have undertaken. You will also support with testing and release including knowledge transfer to the wider business. Later in the web services lifecycle you will assess existing functionality to look for performance improvements and ways to further optimise the existing online platform.
What do we need from you?
We want to always put the Customer First in our online propositions, so we are looking for someone who has a passion to make a difference, with an attention to detail and the confidence to influence and challenge stakeholders.
You will have the ability to work collaboratively in a team whilst also being able to work independently on multiple projects at once.
You will have an academic background in a STEM course and experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite.
