Understanding your key role
Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:
- First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
- Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
- Diagnostics - confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity
Key requirements
- RCVS registered for a minimum of six months
- Motivated to maintain high clinic standards
- Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets
- Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous
Working pattern
You will work an average of 40 hours per week. Over a 4 week-period you will work 2:4 weekends, one of days and one of nights, the remaining shifts will be weeknight shifts.
Shift times are from weeknights 18:30 to 09:00, Saturday and Sunday nights from 21:00 to 09:00, Saturday days from 12:00 to 21:00 and Sunday day from 09:00 to 21:00. Plus, a fair share of bank holidays.
