What will you be doing?

Are you ready to start your career as an Actuary?

Unum UK are looking for Graduate Actuaries to join us, it is a brilliant time to start as we continue to grow and innovate. If you are a strong communicator, problem solver and keen to develop in your career as an Actuary, we want you to join our team.

You will be joining a talented team of actuaries, having the opportunity to rotate through our actuarial teams and be encouraged on your journey to becoming qualified.

  • Risk & Capital
  • Reporting
  • Systems
  • Pricing

What will you bring?

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in a subject with a strong mathematical/statistical element
  • Highly numerate with great attention to detail and levels of accuracy
  • IT literate with experience in using packages including Word and Excel and be willing to learn further skills, including programming languages
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders of all levels
  • Motivated, enthusiastic and curious

We have locations in Dorking, London and Basingstoke. Our Finance team is based primarily in Dorking, in your initial months with us we expect you to be in Dorking 2 days a week minimum. As you continue in your career at Unum, you can start to utilise our other locations 1 day per week.

  • Stage 2: Online testing Stage
  • Stage 3: Telephone Interview
  • Stage 4: In person assessment centre – This will include a group task, presentation, technical task and competency interview
  • Stage 5: Offer and on-boarding

We are planning the assessment day on Thursday 8th August in our Dorking office. Please ensure you let us know if you cannot attend on this date.
