We are seeking to appoint a Research Support Assistant for the project “Socio-Demographic Determinants of Geriatric Suicide in East Asia,” jointly funded by the British Academy and Welcome Trust.
The role
This research project aims to examine the socio-demographic determinants of geriatric suicide in East Asia, contributing to understanding and addressing the challenges faced by aging populations.
The role entails the following:
- Organizing and synthesizing existing research on geriatric suicide and related socio-demographic factors.
- Data Handling: Identifying and compiling data sources.
- Conducting basic data organization and analysis using R or Excel.
- Community Engagement: Exploring potential community partners and stakeholders. Establishing initial contact and fostering collaboration opportunities.
- Reporting: Creating tables, figures, and concise reports to summarize findings.
- Assisting with manuscript preparation or presentations such as proofreading.
- Administrative Support: Managing project documentation and other organisational tasks.
