For a British Academy Small Grant project, the principal investigator (PI) Dr Mohammad Shehub Bin Hasan seeks to appoint an outstanding research assistant. The PI particularly seeks expertise in finance, accounting, or economics with some programming skills.
You will have
- Research experience in relevant fields (finance, accounting, or economics).
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, or economics-related databases (e.g., Bloomberg, CRSP, Compustat), and research ethics.
- Prior experience conducting quantitative research, including data analysis and micro-econometrics.
- Strong familiarity with quantitative data analysis software such as STATA, and R, or Python.
- Experience conducting literature reviews using relevant academic databases
By reference to the applicable SOC code for this role, sponsorship may be possible under the Skilled Worker Route. Applicants wishing to consider the SWR must ensure that they are able to meet the points requirement before applying. Successful candidates not already holding a Skilled Worker visa issued before 4th April 2024 will need to have a relevant PhD qualification or qualify as a new entrant before being able to be sponsored.
