Your responsibilities
- Stay updated on recent developments in UK environmental legislation and assist in summarising and communicating these changes to stakeholders.
- Contribute to our carbon accounting process, supporting our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with various requirements related to our environmental permits.
- Participate in identifying lessons from environmental incidents and assist in conducting internal environmental audits.
- Support the environmental management system to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement, enhancing our overall environmental performance.
- Support new low carbon projects in their efforts to obtain environmental permits, playing a crucial role in expanding our sustainable energy initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of environmental sustainability reports, helping to showcase our commitment to sustainable practices.
About you
- Enrolment in a physical or environmental science degree program.
- A strong desire to gain exposure to environmental legislation and standards relevant to industry and permitted sites.
- Good interpersonal skills with an eagerness to learn and adapt to working across various functions.
- Basic knowledge of environmental management systems and audit management.
