The Condition Monitoring and Remote Operations team combine engineering knowledge, strong domain expertise and digital engineering to create leading solutions that promptly diagnose potential faults so that maintenance engineers can plan maintenance opportunely ensuring Uniper’s assets are reliable and available.

Utilising the latest condition monitoring techniques, such as anomaly detection and vibration analysis we identify failure mode early and make prompt diagnosis. Also, we set the standards for Uniper’s remote site operations to ensure reliable and safe remote operation.

Your responsibilities

We build a good relationship with the power plant engineering and operations team so that Uniper can meet its business objectives of transitioning to Net-zero power generation.

  • You will be assigned specific projects during the critical stages of your placement to facilitate your development; this will build the skills required for you to start adding value to the team as quickly as possible.
  • You will use your engineering knowledge and software skills to innovate unique solutions to key engineering challenges.
  • You will become familiar with various power generation technology processes and assets and contribute daily to ensuring they are reliable and operating efficiently.
  • You will work on your own initiative and as part of the team, innovating and simplifying current solutions and practices.
  • You will support the Condition Monitoring team's fleet of software solutions, quickly becoming familiar with the software solutions and the on-prem and cloud architecture they run in so that you can troubleshoot and fix any issues that arise.

Your profile

  • Working towards an analytical degree like Mechanical Engineering, Physics etc.
  • Previous experience of working in a diverse team where you showed commitment, good communication skills, self-motivation and a positive attitude to work.
  • Interest in power generation and the current net-zero challenges.
  • Experience in combining digital solutions and engineering knowledge to solve challenging problems.
