Ultra Maritime SMaP, based in Rugeley Staffordshire, is a leading company in the defence engineering sector, specializing in cutting-edge technologies designed to enhance national security. Our team is dedicated to innovation, excellence, and the development of solutions that meet the complex challenges faced by modern defence systems.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team for a 3-month internship focusing on Signature Management Proposal and Integration Testing. This is a unique opportunity for students or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and challenging environment, working alongside seasoned professionals on real-world projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and refinement of signature management proposals, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Support integration testing of defence systems, including the preparation, execution, and documentation of test plans and results.
  • Analyse test data to identify potential issues and recommend solutions to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies into existing systems.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications / skills

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of defence technologies and systems is preferred.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
