We're looking for top graduates to join the Group Internal Consulting, Emerging Solutions Graduate Talent Program.
Your Role
This program lasts 18 months and you will be directly involved working across Investment Bank, Wealth Management, Asset Management and supporting Functions delivering machine learning, data science, quantitative modelling and blockchain projects.
As well as on-the-job learning, you’ll get training on the financial markets, our products and other core business topics. Rotational assignment is a key part of the program. By taking on other roles in related departments, you’ll gain a wider perspective.
In addition to all that, you'll attend networking events, cross-business classes and social occasions where you'll get to know us.
Responsibilities
We’re looking for someone to:
- Deliver projects in Emerging Solutions in the context of Data Science, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, Blockchain and Quantitative Modelling
- Help build Machine Learning and Financial Modelling solutions to solve business problems
- Develop their business acumen and consulting skillset to help advise internal clients across the bank on the above topics
- Build and maintain strong relationships within the Emerging Solutions team, Group Functions and Business Divisions
Your Team
Group Internal Consulting (GIC) is UBS's internal consultant unit. We are a dynamic, driven and diverse team with over 750 people present in 5 regions across the globe. As part of the firm’s Group Transformation Office (GTO), we work in close partnership with all divisions and functions to drive transformation and change across UBS, supporting the firm in achieving its strategic goals.
Our focus is on delivering high quality services, with fast onboarding, leveraging institutional knowledge. You’ll be working in the Group Internal Consulting, Emerging Solutions team in London.
Your Expertise
You need to have completed your bachelor’s or master’s degree in a subject with a strong quantitative focus e.g.: Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Economics or Finance. In particular, you have:
- strong numerical background
- keen interest in data science, machine learning, blockchain or quantitative modelling
- relevant academic, work or internship experience
- basic/ Intermediate proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java, R, etc.)
- a strong interest in financial markets
- an autonomous, diligent and detail-oriented work style
- ability to work independently
- ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to internal clients and colleagues
- excellent English (written and oral), German and French as a plus
