The role
As a Junior Materials Artist you are passionate about creating realistic material assets that help bring an environment to life. You have an eye for detail, and enjoy research to ensure your creations are accurate and of a high standard.
You enjoy collaborating with the environment art team to tell stories through art, bringing worlds to life through creating functional assets that can be used across the project. Being passionate about your craft, you’ll thrive on conducting in-depth research, and receiving and giving constructive feedback through peer review sessions to continuously improve the quality and consistency of your work.

As our next Junior Materials Artist, you will play an integral part in telling a new story, communicating the Art Director’s creative vision through tone and style with realistic renderings that build a whole new world inspired by the project’s narrative and design.

- A portfolio consisting of at least 5 Materials Art pieces that showcase your understanding of materials rendering.
- Working knowledge of industry leading 3D modelling packages and techniques;
- Understanding of composition visual story telling;
- Knowledge of level editors;
- Understanding of Physically Based Rendering systems;
- Familiarity with data management software (such as Perforce) is desirable;
- Basic gameplay and level design knowledge is desirable;
- Knowledge of optimisation techniques (e.g. 3D Studio Max);
