Working within a Procurement Structure the role of a Graduate Buyer is a steppingstone into a career within Procurement.
The role will encompass collaborative working within a Purchasing Team and cross functionally with the Supply Chain Team supporting the management of specific group of suppliers and / or commodities consistent with the expectations and objectives (Quality, Service, Cost) of TVS.
The role will expose you to contract management, negotiation, relationship management, project management, commerciality and much more.
Job responsibilities
- Identify and implement cost savings projects that contribute to the overall achievement of the departmental objectives
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships
- Develop and maintain databases
- Profile commodities seeking new advancements thus driving a competitive advantage
- Prepare and analyse tender documents for spend / commodity categories
- Identify and propose solutions for continuous improvement.
- Process Purchase Order Requests
- Manage RFQ’s (Request for Quotations) and other requests from clients
- Support the operational supply function with problem resolution
- Resolve invoice queries in line with business needs
- Develop value adding relationships with cross functional departments, suppliers and clients
- Maintain the day to day running of the purchasing process ensuring compliance across the business.

- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite
