What will you be doing | Ngā whainga

Tourism New Zealand is dedicated to enriching New Zealand by maximizing the contribution from visitors. Your role will contribute to the development and implementation of Tourism New Zealand's UK & Europe trade development, marketing and communications strategy and you'll be at the forefront of connecting, enabling, and motivating the travel trade across the UK and Germany to build preference and intent to book among their consumers.

We do this by engaging travel sellers through training, familiarisations, partnership campaigns, hosting B2B events and connecting the New Zealand industry with trade, to ensure specialist travel agents and tour operators understand the motivations and product offering to convert the target audience.

You will be required to build relationships with the biggest travel trade companies in UK and Germany, regularly present and train travel sellers, and engage with a range of stakeholders from local trade media partners, tour operators and airlines to New Zealand industry. Exceptional interpersonal skills, creativity and strategic thinking is required as you are responsible for continuously developing our trade engagement strategy and motivating and enabling travel sellers by strengthening destination awareness and selling capability.

  • Good understanding of B2B marketing.
  • Partnership and digital marketing experience with demonstrated understanding across the digital media mix, including social media, CRM database marketing.
  • Experience working with external media agencies.
  • Familiarity with website content management.
  • Passion and good general knowledge of New Zealand as a destination
  • Experience ideally in the tourism industry.
  • German language ability is desirable.
  • Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally.
