The eCommerce Strategy Intern will be contributing to the execution of multiple workstreams relating to developing frameworks that help drive growth across various parts of the eCommerce ecosystem for TikTok Shop UK. This includes leveraging data to devise strategy and targets for promotional campaigns, designing platform-wide incentive strategies (e.g. to effectively and sustainably recruit, retain, and grow Merchants and Creators), etc.

This will involve a significant amount of data analyses and research, on top of coordinating and proactively working with all aspects of end-to-end project execution to deliver objectives within time, cost and quality constraints.The role requires a multifaceted skillset and experience, and candidates should be comfortable working cross-functionally to deliver results.

Responsibilities

  • Generate insights and devise strategy based on data;
  • Manage cross-functional relationships to ensure execution of formulated strategy;
  • Coordinate people and processes to ensure timely delivery and desired results;
  • Proactively working with the Strategy Lead to identify avenues to optimise efficiency and drive execution;
  • Monitor deployment of incentive strategies and resource usage, make adjustments/recommendations to Operations teams accordingly;
  • Co-own conversations & communicate clearly and concisely with key cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Operations) to align on milestones and track progress;
  • Proactively manage Risks, Issues, Assumptions and Dependencies, including identifying causes for escalation as required.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree, graduating in 2025
  • Successful candidates must start in June 2024.
  • Quantitative degree preferred e.g. engineering/maths
  • Experience in end-to-end project delivery, from strategy to implementation
  • Strong numerical reasoning skills; good modelling skills preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint - Good organisational and analytical skills
  • Experience in stakeholder management and communication
  • Fast learner with strong ownership
  • Self-starter willing to learn and shape execution
  • Previous experience in Consulting, Investment Banking, Big Tech, or other Strategy-related functions is a plus
