We’re looking for talented individuals to join us as Global Language Consultants. You’ll be part of our Beijing Language Centre, and play a key role in our growing business.
The Language Centre team covers important bi-directional Chinese/English interpreting at ByteDance, providing simultaneous and consecutive interpreting work for meetings across all business lines.
The team is responsible for English language training within ByteDance, as well as promoting cross-cultural communication among departments from different regions and language environments. The role and its responsibilities create endless opportunities for cross-functional collaboration.
About the Role:
- Translate and proofread company-level project materials and documents
- Provide simultaneous interpretation support, and ensure efficient communication between global teams
- Participate in the company's internal English training programs, to provide English for employees or teams with global business needs
- Support technical or product research in related fields, and set up a terminology database to promote business development
- Help the team to promote internal and external cross-cultural cognition, and the construction of a global working environment
What you'll need:
- Proficient in English and Chinese as primary working languages
- Working experience in translation and interpretation
- Cross-cultural awareness, and the ability to put this into practice in daily work
- Ability to grasp new concepts and adapt quickly in a rhythmic working environment
- Understanding of the internet and the technology industry
- Previous technical translation experience is preferred
