The Digital Marketing Assistant plays a key role in supporting both the Digital and Content Marketing team and the wider Digital & External Communications team in delivering first class communications to support our business objectives. Helping to implement and deliver the digital strategy externally, the role will assist in the effective delivery of a wide variety of impactful communications across multiple media channels and resources.

This will close interaction with the full marketing team, SMEs across the business, key advisers and suppliers and involves a mix of creative and analytical skills, perfect for someone looking to start or advance their career in digital marketing.

This is a hybrid role with two days per week in our Swindon office.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the execution and monitoring of the Openwork external communications plan – delivering external communications against agreed plans, budgets and goals.
  • Content Creation: Assist in editing and publishing engaging content for various digital platforms including various websites, intranets, blogs and social media.
  • Social Media support: scheduling posts, monitoring engagement.
  • Analytics & Reporting: collate data of digital marketing efforts using tools like Google Analytics and Meltwater.
  • Graphic Design: Create basic graphics and visuals for digital content using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the digital marketing team.
  • Support supplier review process.
  • Support the process and controls to ensure version control of all assets to ensure good governance is in place.

What will you need to succeed

Qualifications/ Experience/ Knowledge

  • Ideally some communications experience within a business environment either through a first role or internship.
  • Ideally some experience of co-ordination of resources in the delivery/ execution of communications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook etc) and basic graphic design skills.
