Overview of the programme
Graduates are fundamental to our future. Our programme is unparalleled in supporting talented and ambitious graduates to build a first-class foundation for a rewarding career in the nuclear sector.
Sponsored and hosted by the NDA group, successful candidates will be employed by Energus on a two-year programme (three-years for Finance, Audit, Risk) and, once you have successfully completed your personalised programme, we will help you secure a permanent role within the NDA group.
During your time on the programme, you will be given the unique opportunity to undertake placements across the operating companies that make up NDA group (NDA, Nuclear Restoration Services, Nuclear Transport Solutions, Nuclear Waste Services and Sellafield), learning from leading experts on work that has real impact. You will also participate in a core programme of behavioural development to enhance your skills and professional expertise.
The future of the UK’s nuclear sector has never been more exciting. As a Chemistry Graduate you will bring your knowledge and experience to support the regulation of nuclear sites, work in waste management and radioactive materials processing, support engineers in plant operations and support the delivery of investigations, analysis and reports with a wide range of stakeholders.
Your role will enable you to apply your knowledge of chemistry within the UK’s nuclear sector, where the management of nuclear liabilities is critically informed by robust information and creative solutions. You will make a difference through planning and gathering data on real-world scenarios; interpreting information on chemical and radiochemical properties of materials and wastes; and through proposing and testing ideas to optimise forward strategies. You will be working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. At a time of opportunity and challenge this is a unique opportunity to develop your expertise.
