Opportunity

We are seeking a Finance Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) 12-month Placement student to join our Finance team in Ipswich, Suffolk, on or around September 15 th , 2025. This internship will provide a good background for students aiming for accounting qualifications.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • To assist with financial planning and budgetary processes;
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and presentations to support decision-making;
  • Assist and participate with the planned implementation of SAP (replacement ERP system), a rare opportunity;
  • Supporting implementation of Financial Dashboards/SAP reports;
  • Update product costs where necessary and attend the weekly ECO meeting;
  • Support in conducting cost analysis related to capital Investments;
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes;
  • Perform any ad hoc tasks and projects required by the Senior Cost & Management Accountant or Finance Leadership;
  • Contribute to team spirit to achieve the team goals.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience Required

  • A strong academic background in relevant A Level disciplines, for example Accounting, Business Studies, Economics, Maths, or related subjects (or equivalent qualifications);
  • You should be enrolled in a relevant Finance degree, on track to achieve at least a 2:1 (based on results to date);
  • Prior internships/work experience in Finance roles is advantageous, but not essential;
  • You should be an energetic team player;
  • Numerically accurate, and methodical and thorough;
  • Computer literate;
  • Able to work under pressure with a flexible attitude;
  • Articulate but firm telephone manner.
