Our design intern sits within the design group, but will work as part of multi-disciplinary teams on a wide range of projects spanning product, packaging, information and digital design. We like to give you the opportunity to contribute to real projects and be involved in the whole development process from user studies through to client liaison, which is why we are offering this as a 12 month internship, ideally starting in June/July 2023.
Overseen by a mentor from the design team, your daily tasks will include brainstorming, sketching, 3D CAD, graphic layout, model making, rendering and presenting. We're looking for someone with a flair for identifying and solving problems who can come up with perspectives that others might miss and to tell the story in a compelling way. You'll have good attention to detail and enjoy justifying your design decisions.
We look for:
- Good visual communication skills
- 2D (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- 3D Cad (Solidworks desirable)
- Visualisation (Keyshot desirable)
- Hand sketching
- Practical approach to problem solving
- Sketch modelling + prototyping
- Good presentation skills
- Logical thoughtful approach
- Good graphical layout skills
