The Graduate Maintenance Engineer is responsible for repairs and maintenance of machinery.

Following significant investment in the manufacturing site, including new industry-leading machinery, the Graduate Maintenance Engineer will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth running of the production line.

Main responsibilities

Repairs

  • efficiently diagnose and speedily resolve faults in machinery
  • highlight faults, giving an accurate timeline for completion of required work, and providing regular updates on progress
  • liaise with suppliers for spare parts, repairs, service and maintenance
  • maintain accurate records and documentation

Maintenance

  • Assist in implementing a schedule for planned and preventative maintenance
  • liaise with external specialists to plan in preventative maintenance

Continuous Improvement

  • Assist in developing and implementing a programme of continuous improvement
  • to work with on new machinery and process projects as required
  • develop new and alternative methods of working to improve manufacturing efficiency
  • take a pro-active approach in developing a thorough understanding of all the machinery
  • keep up to date on industry developments and look to constantly upskill

Personal attributes

  • Relevant Engineering degree - 2:1 or above
  • good organisational skills
