Technical skills you’ll develop

Depending on department placement, you’ll have the opportunity to master a range of key skills:

  • Software Engineering
    • Develop essential programming languages and tools like Java, JavaScript, Python, and SQL.
    • Get hands-on experience with industry-standard practices including Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.
  • Mobile Application Development
    • Design and develop apps for both iOS (Swift) and Android (Java) platforms.
    • Work with leading tools such as Apple Testflight and Google Firebase to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Cloud Computing
    • Familiarise yourself with cloud computing and work with popular solutions such as AWS, leveraging modern services like EMR, Fargate and Glue.
  • Agile Methodologies in Software Development
    • Become familiar with Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
    • Collaborate effectively in dynamic team environments, delivering impactful software solutions.

What you’ll need

  • You'll need to be studying for a degree in a STEM based subject from any university
  • A penultimate or final year student (i.e. due to graduate in the summer of 2025 or 2026)
  • Available to complete the internship in the summer of 2025 and for a potential graduate programme starting in September 2026 (please note we are not able to offer spaces on our September 2025 graduate programme)
  • A curious mind, who seeks feedback and mentorship to improve technical skills
  • An interest in technology, and have started to learn and develop some technical skills
  • A commitment to continuous learning and development

  • Stage 4: Shortlisting (at this point T. Rowe Price will select who they’d like to invite to an Assessment Centre)
