As a growing drug discovery organisation, we are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic, talented individuals keen to carry out their year-long industrial placements beginning in August 2025. These will take place at our facilities located in Tytherington just north of Macclesfield, Cheshire.
Peak Proteins is at the forefront of scientific research, specialising in bespoke protein production and protein structural biology to support drug discovery projects.
Your mentor will also stay in regular contact with your academic supervisor to ensure all course requirements for the placement are met.
The Opportunity
- Exposure to the latest technology in the fields of cell culture, protein expression, protein purification, protein crystallisation, X-ray crystallography and protein mass spectrometry
- The chance to work on live projects from the outset, generating tailored proteins for customers in pharmaceutical and biotech organisations globally
- Opportunities to develop and apply creative approaches to problem solving
Core requirements
- Enrolled on a Biochemistry or related degree program with a “Year in Industry” component
- Passionate about protein production and protein structural biology
- Equipped with excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work well within a team environment
