You will gain a solid understanding of the critical role Swift plays in financial services and will have the opportunity to dive into fast-moving and relevant developments facing our financial community. This will allow you to develop both soft and hard skills, with opportunities to undertake analysis on unique perspectives and present findings to industry experts.

Key responsibilities

Industry Research Desk

  • Research assistance – Research on industry topics that impact Swift and its community, analysis of trends and market initiatives and actors 
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis – including tracking metrics and across Swift services and deep dives into emerging trends and developments.
  • Market monitoring – monitoring industry comment and publications on topics that matter and delivering quick summaries.

Supporting Industry Engagement Regional and Sectoral Leads

  • Assisting with Meetings and Briefing Notes – Drafting meeting minutes and briefing notes for senior management meetings
  • Management of key documentation – such as maintaining our means for reporting statuses to senior management.
  • Planning and Tracking – work across different teams and providing concise updates and maintaining stakeholder maps, engagement trackers etc.

You will also have the opportunity to carry out your own research working with industry experts across the company and shadow external meetings offering a deep understanding of Swift, the financial services industry, emerging trends and frame your understanding of responsible innovation.

Requirements and skills

Education

We expect that you will have (or are expecting) a 2:1 Higher Education degree. However, we will consider candidates that can illustrate relevant skills, enthusiasm and experience without a degree.

Work experience

As an internship, the role is typically aimed at those with fewer than 1-3 years experience in relevant work experience.

Demonstrable experience / understanding of

  • Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent English – written, spoken and reading.
  • Awareness of what Swift does and our mission.
