The role
Uniquely, we recruit to role and right now we’re looking for Graduate Hydraulic Modellers that share our ethos and values to join our Water Environment Department within our innovative Water Business Unit. Our Modelling Team undertake a range of projects relating to wastewater and integrated catchments including feasibility studies, surface water management plans, model build and verification and development impact assessments. The team also undertake optioneering with a focus on smart network management and sustainable drainage solutions.
We are looking for individuals who are able to challenge conventional thinking and work collaboratively to meet a wide range of business, environment and regulatory challenges for our clients.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design and analysis of urban drainage systems, contributing to sustainable water management solutions that meet the needs of our clients and communities.
What does the role involve
As a Graduate Hydraulic Modeller you will be supporting the delivery of a wide variety of projects for several key clients both in the UK and Europe. The role will involve the use of hydraulic models (mainly ICM) and the main duties will include:
- Undertaking project delivery tasks as defined by the Project Manager / Team Leader, which may include calculations, drawings, sketches and reports etc., as well as site investigations.
- Being aware of project needs and take personal responsibility to work to deliver these to agreed time, cost and quality requirements, taking guidance as required.
- Working in close collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines as required to deliver project requirements and added value to the client.
What do you need to apply
We are seeking graduates who:
- Have a degree in a subject relevant to the role you’re applying for.
- Have less than 12 months relevant work experience (excluding placements).
- Are confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Are driven and solution orientated.
- Can work in the UK with no restrictions.
This unfortunately means that we are unable to accept candidates who require sponsorship. This is a permanent role, and we are looking for candidates who can grow and develop their careers with Sweco, we are therefore unable to accept applications from those on a graduate visa due to their time limits.
