Overview of role

This role reports into the Commercial Accountant of CorEnergy. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day financial matters of the business.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has transactional experience to be part of a a small team in an organisation that is part of a larger growing Group. The role encompasses both Receivables and Payables alongside supporting the Commercial Accountant in broader financial activities.

You will be working alongside skilled and supportive colleagues and supervision / guidance will be provided to help you develop and upskill where required.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Managing the Accounts Payable from new supplier on boarding to processing supplier payment.
  • Managing the Accounts Receivable from new customer onboarding to chasing customer for payment.
  • Challenge the effectiveness and efficiency of the existing processes.
  • Bank reconciliation.
  • Processing inter-company invoices and agreeing the inter-company balances.
  • Managing the aging reports, ensure the ledgers are up to date before the month-end.
  • Meeting the month-end cut-off deadline.
  • Support audit investigations and audit work for internal and external auditors.
  • Supporting the business with any ad hoc queries.

Skills and experience

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, able to prioritise a high volume of work & wide range of tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and confident in dealing at all levels within an organisation to develop effective and collaborative working relationships.
  • Driven individual with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong team player
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft office software with a particular focus on Excel
  • Experience using Navision/Business Central would be an advantage.
