Overview of the role

Start your transformative industry year at Sulzer in Leeds! Collaborate closely with our Management Accountant, overseeing project costs and generating diverse financial reports. This role involves working across various departments at our world-class facility in Leeds, providing hands-on experience and a chance to significantly influence our financial processes.

What you'll be doing

  • Holding monthly meetings with engineering and shop floor management, updating forecasts, identifying savings and cost overruns.
  • Reviewing of Material Masters to ensure the valuation class and procurement type is correctly maintained.
  • Issuing the invoice forecast and following up of overdue invoices.
  • Reconciliation and upload of all pre-calculation templates into SAP.

Experience and knowledge required

  • Solid understanding of creating and running financial reports
  • Flexibility and adaptability to navigate change
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Package
  • Proficient in MS Excel (skills will be tested in interviews)
  • SAP experience is advantageous.
