Macro Sales is part of our Sales and trading division, within our Markets business as part of Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB). Our macro sales teams speak directly to our Corporate and Institutional clients, providing them with markets products - such as foreign exchange, commodities, interest rate, money market, credit, financing and other bespoke solutions - to meet our client’s risk management and investment needs.
Our sales teams build deep, trusted relationships, leveraging our bank expertise to deliver targeted solutions to our clients.
About the role
This opportunity is within our Financial Sponsors team, working with our private equity clients on risk management solutions across asset classes. The team also work on non-flow solutions for our insurance, pension fund and sovereign wealth clients in Europe & Americas.
This is an exceptional opportunity to spend time working alongside the team and you’ll get involved with tasks such as:
- Preparing client presentations with market updates, research and trading views
- Learning about pricing market transactions
- Gaining familiarity with more complex structures including option (rates, FX) pricing, deal contingent structures and other derivatives
- Learning about legal documentation and transaction structure
- Getting first hand insight into these client segments and experiencing life on a trading floor!
Who you are
We are looking for a postgraduate who is available to start immediately.
The ideal candidate would need to demonstrate natural curiosity, exceptional attention to detail, excellent PowerPoint and communication skills, a strong analytical and technical mindset, an entrepreneurial spirit, good risk awareness and a strong work ethic
