The Role: S&P Global Commodity Insights is seeking candidates for our 10-week summer internship program in from June 2025 within our Research and Analytics business.
The Team: Join a globally recognized team that provides strategic insights and expertise in energy markets, climate solutions, and sustainable strategies for clients across various sectors, including Oil, Gas, Power, Chemicals, Agriculture, and Metals.

Responsibilities and Impact:
- Conduct research and analyze market trends in energy and climate sectors.
- Support modeling efforts and collaborate with global analysts.
- Utilize tools like Python, Power BI, and Excel for data structuring and visualization.
- Participate in policy evaluation and data management tasks.
- Engage with industry experts to gain insights into energy transition dynamics.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
- You must be able to commence your internship from the 16th June until the 22nd August.
- Postgraduate & Undergraduate students in their penultimate year of studies ONLY.
- Current undergraduate or graduate student with a strong interest in energy and climate change.
- Excellent communication, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools like Python, Power BI, and Excel.
- You must have the right to work in the UK through UK citizenship or approved EU Settlement Scheme.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in market analysis or policy evaluation.
- Familiarity with energy markets, climate solutions, and sustainable strategies.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
