The Team

The ideal candidate will join a team of marketing-savvy negotiators who focus on driving global artist campaigns collaborating with creative and marketing teams. We are a small team who regularly socialise together and share a passion for the music we work with. 

The Role

This is a rare opportunity to have direct influence on music industry evolution, present strategic recommendations to senior management and partners that benefit Sony Music’s entire artist roster, while closely collaborating with teams across the company and the globe. You will possess good knowledge of the ever-changing traditional and digital-streaming landscapes, be comfortable working with and interpreting data, be creative and willing to weave innovation into plans, delivering in all these areas with analytical and creative thinking

What you'll do

  • Provide administrative support to the team; including raising Purchasing Orders’, arranging travel, couriers & mailouts, processing expenses and other day to day administrative activities as required.
  • Liaise with creative and marketing teams across multiple territories, sharing agendas, scheduling calls & meetings to help accommodate their specific needs whilst maintaining great relationships.
  • Opportunity to get involved in project work suggesting new concepts and ideas, inputting into creative meetings, and the general creative process of our marketing initiatives while keeping abreast of new trends in digital marketing and streaming.
  • Support the team to manage a demanding work schedule and the creation of presentations and design briefs as required.
  • Assist the team with various physical and digital product set ups, including track-list curation, pre-order links and label copy set-up.
  • Assist the team with global artist campaigns; collation + interpretation of post campaign deep dive analysis & data using a wide range of systems and dashboards (e.g. Apollo, Sami’s etc.)
  • Manage marketing assets, proofing artwork & copy checking.

Who you are

  • Excellent organisation and prioritising skills, with the ability to work independently and use own initiative
  • Broad understanding of the music industry and an interest in digital marketing
  • Good working knowledge / experience of TikTok and other social media platforms
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly approach to assist employee queries
  • Comfortable working and interpreting data

Things to note

  • We do not require you to have a degree or qualification in order to apply for this internship but you do need to be over 18+.
  • The start date for the programme will be in January 2022

  • There will be 3 rounds of interviews to complete, the recruitment process will be a mixture of virtual and in person interviews, but this will be determined by Covid restrictions and government guidelines at the time of interview.
