Our Transport Planning Team is the leading consultancy in transport planning and infrastructure design in the UK development industry. With a team of 150+ working from offices in London, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Exeter, Leeds, Birmingham and Edinburgh.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, articulate and analytical graduate to join our team.
Our projects vary in scale and size across the UK with no two projects the same. Our past and current work includes nationally significant regeneration schemes, garden towns and new settlements, logistics hubs, city centre commercial and residential projects, leisure and sports destinations, public sector projects, strategic rail freight interchanges and power stations.

About you
You will have recently graduated or be in your final year with a “relevant” degree and due to the nature of the role you will require a full UK driving licence before joining.
You also be able to demonstrate:
- An interest in the development planning industry
- Be willing to attend site visits
- Have report writing skills
- Have a passion for problem solving whilst also being capable of contributing positively to the team to find the best solutions to specific transport and mobility challenges
- Have experience using Junction modelling using industry standard software such as JUNCTIONS and LINSIG
- Feel confident working collaboratively with a range of architects, planners, developers and Councils
Our Graduate role will be exciting and varied with responsibilities including:
- Coordination of traffic and movement surveys (including data analysis), Transport Statements, Transport Assessments and Travel Plans
- Research and investigation into local and national policy
- Trip forecasting using the TRICS database or a first principles methodologies
- Input to the formulation of innovative transport solutions
- Assisting with the design of infrastructure prioritising active travel and shared travel, utilising CAD and GIS
- Input to planning appeals including written reps, informal hearings and Public Inquiries. Also Supporting at public consultations and other stakeholder events
- Developing client relationships though assisting with the delivery of key projects
