Great news - SLR is currently seeking a Graduate to join its Archaeology and Cultural Heritage team. We have offices across the UK including Edinburgh, Manchester, Bristol and London and can be flexible over location for the right candidates. 
As part of SLR's Archaeology & Heritage team, you will provide advisory and consultancy support to a wide variety of clients and sectors. This includes projects such as design advice for planning, design of mitigation strategies for preservation in situ, site investigation, historic building and landscape surveys.

About you  
As well as a degree in Archaeology, Built Heritage, Historic Conservation or a related subject due to the nature of the role you will require a full UK driving licence. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate they are;
•            An effective communicator, with good report writing skills.
•            Confident in their approach to internal and external stakeholder engagement.
•            Able to conduct site-based work year-round.
•            Interested in pursuing a professional heritage accreditation or membership.
•            Proficient using IT, ideally including knowledge/use of GIS software.

In addition, some exposure to site-based activities or heritage asset identification and a basic knowledge of the UK planning system in respect to Cultural Heritage including legislation, policy and guidance would be an advantage.

Main duties and responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will include the provision of a wide range of project support, under the guidance and mentorship of senior staff and project managers, and will include:
•            Assistance with research relating to a wide variety of projects.
•            Collation of information for reports, desk studies and applications.
•            Assistance with the preparation of information/scope of works for tenders and fee proposals.
•            Good interpersonal skills and ability to show initiative.
•            Liaison with both internal and external project managers as part of the day-to-day progression of project activities.
