SLR's Mining Advisory team in Europe have an exciting summer placement opportunity for a 3rd or 4th year Geology student looking to gain some practical experience to support your degree studies working in a leading environmental and advisory consultancy.

The placement would be for an approximate eight-week period, commencing in Summer 2025, although exact dates/duration shall be confirmed with the successful candidate, and SLR are flexible in this regard, depending on your university's requirements.

The candidate will be given the opportunity to support our team on a wide variety of projects within the mining industry. This will include potentially a mix of exploration, resource estimation, and/or feasibility studies on mining projects across the world.
You will work closely within the European Mining Advisory team, alongside personnel based predominantly in the UK and Ireland, but alongside the Global team and various associated international offices.
There will be an opportunity to undertake various technical tasks – such as assistance with drilling programme design and implementation, database management, geological interpretation and modelling. These tasks will be carried out as part of day-to-day consulting work, for which there will also be a chance to gain familiarity – such as involvement in bid processes, marketing and business development, and project management.

In addition to working within the Mining Advisory team, SLR's One Team culture encourages supporting other technical disciplines throughout the company. This approach allows individuals to understand and learn about other technical teams and how their work links across projects.

We hope this opportunity interests you and we look forward to receiving your application.
