Our Strategy teams play a central role in shaping our strategic direction across Europe and work closely with our CEO and other senior executives to do this.

About the programme
Your rotation will give you experience working in Strategy and Strategy teams embedded within our business. Part of the Strategy team, you work on exciting projects that involve:
Developing Sky’s customer proposition
Investment in channels and content
Assessment of growth opportunities in new markets
Assessment of new technologies and the opportunities they offer
Competitor analysis
Delivery of transformational projects and initiatives
You’ll also spend a year working in three of the teams listed below that are part of the graduate programme.
Strategic Planning Group
Evaluate and advise the exec, senior leadership and other teams across the business to support strategic decision
Analysis of new markets, products and propositions and growth areas
Investments and priorities assessments
Market and competitor analysis
Business Development and Strategic Partnerships
Commercial contract negotiations for platform distribution deals and in-life account management
Engaging strategically and commercially with the Tech Giants including managing relationships between Sky and Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc
Bring new disruptive and innovative perspectives to Sky by working with and investing in tech startups
Planning Strategy & Implementation
Programme Leadership & Support
Proposition Development Support
Operating Model Design and Implementation
Content and Channels Strategy
Sky’s own channels (Sky Atlantic, Sky 1, Sky Living, Sky Arts, Sky Sports, Sky Cinema) content, rights and channel strategy
Partner channels (such as Fox, MTV, Discovery, Disney, BBC) channel partnership strategy and relationship management
You will develop core strategy consulting skills in:
Structured thinking and analysis
Consumer research
Financial modelling
Report and presentation writing
Change management
Commercial negotiation
Building relationships and networks
Collaboration with other teams and businesses

Challenging thinking is a big part of our work so having a variety of perspectives and ideas is key to our success. You’ll also have the following:
Have or be on track for a minimum 2.1 or equivalent, in any discipline
Be a logical and analytical thinker
Have outstanding presentation, negotiation and IT skills
Be an effective communicator with a focus on collaboration.
