24 hours a day, 365 days a year we serve 4.8 million households and business across the heart of the UK. Each cuppa drank and every toilet flushed is only possible because of the 6,500 brilliant team members working across our patch.
We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality. We know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our customers and the communities where they live.
Everything you need to know
As a Performance Technician you will support the management of Severn Trent’s utilities metering programme and utilities billing processes. This includes working alongside the utilities team and wider internal and external stakeholders to manage the delivery of the meter operator contract and the meter renewal programme.
You’ll ensure all utilities systems are up to date, providing accurate and validated information, and will assist colleagues in accessing and gaining insights from energy data by designing custom reports to efficiently extract data from our energy database.
There will also be opportunities for collaborative work to support the wider team’s activities, including bill validation and information management.
Some of the other key accountabilities are
- Facilitate the registration, scheduling, installation, and maintenance of electricity meters, and ensure asset and billing information in utilities systems is up-to-date, accurate, and consistent across all platforms.
- Analyse data to generate and interpret reports on billing performance and metering portfolio performance and improve the management and delivery of energy meter data by upskilling colleagues and designing custom reports.
- Support the AMP8 meter renewal programme and market-wide half-hourly settlement (MHHS), assist with electricity, gas, and water bill validation queries and payments, and support the management of supplier contract delivery.
