The Opportunity

As a Payroll Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the payroll department in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll. Your role will involve a variety of tasks, including data entry, record-keeping, and assisting with payroll-related inquiries. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel.

What you'll do 

• Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll.
• Enter and update employee information.
• Verify and ensure the accuracy of timesheets and payroll records.
• Assist in the calculation of wages, deductions, and other payroll-related adjustments.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and concerns.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Assist with the preparation of payroll reports and summaries.
• Support other administrative tasks as needed.

What you'll bring 

• Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Payroll Assistant or similar role.
• Good knowledge of payroll processes and relevant laws.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
