The Opportunity

As an important member of the Demand Planning team your role, under guidance from the Demand Planner, will be to maximise sales for your categories through the optimisation of product availability.  Responsible for producing and sharing information, you will help identify issues to be investigated and to prioritise the wider teams’ actions, you will assist in finding resolutions to help improve stock availability and sales performance.  You will develop key working relationships with Category Management, Operations, and our supply base to ensure timely flow of stock through the business.

What you’ll do

  • Creation and sharing of weekly reports including Open Purchase Orders, Availability tracking, Order Fulfilment and Order chasing prioritisation
  • Assist in the weekly release of replenishment orders generated by our forecasting tool
  • Utilising warehouse booking system to determine expected delivery dates and outstanding deliveries
  • Contacting supply base to ensure on time delivery of Purchase Orders & update of systems accordingly
  • Accurate & timely update of store orders in SAP
  • Assist in the creation and upkeep of Store Availability, Sales and Stock tracking reports
  • Daily review and update of product statuses to ensure all relevant products are on site
  • Assist in updating the forecasting tool to optimise stock levels, reviewing newness, fast and slow turning product
  • With guidance from Line Manager investigate brands/product areas with low availability, fast covers, poor fulfilment to develop action plans to resolve issues
  • Assist in the swift resolution of issues with adjacent business areas; Category Management, Trading, Master Data, Operations, Finance & Store teams
  • Maintain regular contact with suppliers to keep the active catalogue of products up to date
  • Challenge brands where low fulfilment on key products is causing availability issues
  • Ad hoc tasks as determined by the Line Manager

What you’ll bring

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Numerate, with solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be computer literate including good Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as a strong work ethic.
  • Must be well organised, able to work under pressure and have the ability to meet tight deadlines.
