The EHS Team is responsible for ensuring a safe, healthy and sustainable work environment. This is achieved through compliance with regulatory and Seagate specific requirements and maintaining our accredited management systems.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental, Health & Safety Intern wishing to take on an 11-month placement over the next academic year, commencing on 1st September 2025 and ending on 21st August 2026. The successful candidate will join our team based in Springtown in Derry.
You will
- Assist with the day-to-day management of environmental, health and safety issues in a high-tech manufacturing facility.
- Work on a broad range of EHS programs including the following:
- Waste management & minimisation projects
- EHS Management systems i.e., ISO 45001 & 14001
- Compliance audits
- Management of emergency response teams and first aiders
- Accident /incident investigation
About you
- Currently studying a degree programme in the following disciplines – Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Health or Safety Management, General Science/Engineering. Preference may be given to candidates studying in Environment or Safety disciplines.
- Have a sound working knowledge of Microsoft 365, be self-motivated and possess excellent communication and team working skills.
Your experience includes:
- Currently undertaking a Bachelor or Master’s degree in the following disciplines – Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Health or Safety Management, General Science/Engineering. Preference may be given to candidates studying in Environment or Safety disciplines.
- Excellent communication skills

This is a Full-Time position working 39 hours per week, on-site working. The placement dates are: Starting on Monday, 1st September 2025 and finishing Friday, 21st August 2026
