What you’ll be doing
As a graduate within the Global Offshore Business of ScottishPower Renewables, you could play a key role in the planning, design, construction, and operation of some of the largest offshore wind farms in the world.
Throughout your two-year programme, your placements may include opportunities globally, providing valuable insights into business operations and team dynamics. This programme will not only enhance your technical and soft skills but also empower you to make a significant contribution towards achieving our Net Zero goals.
Foundations Engineer - For a Civil/Mechanical/Structural engineer or equivalent, this is a fantastic opportunity to join our Foundations team, working to deliver fixed-bottom foundations for our offshore wind turbines. Our Design Management and Project Management teams define supply strategy, manage the technical side of the procurement process, and manage the design engineering and project delivery for these structures.
Project Controls Planner - Our project controls team provide planning, cost control, risk management, and resource management for our Global Renewables Offshore Business. The team provide a key interface for all areas of expertise who deliver throughout the lifecycle of our Offshore wind projects. Integral to the successful delivery of building our windfarms, the planning team have a key role managing the complete view of how we plan and execute our project delivery.
Responsible for the project programme, the planning team manage timelines of all the activities across the different work streams assisting successful delivery of our projects with continuous monitoring, defining mitigation actions, and looking for opportunities to improve the programme.
It's an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to use their engineering/project management knowledge, attention to detail, creative thinking, and communication skills towards delivery of offshore wind in the UK and globally, pushing for themselves, and their communities, a better future, quicker.

Minimum criteria
- Foundations Engineering Graduate: Honours Degree at a minimum of 2:2 (or equivalent) in Mechanical / Civil / Energy / Structural or similar
- Project Controls Planner Graduate: Honours Degree at a minimum of 2:2 (or equivalent) in an Engineering or Project Management degree or similar
