As part of the EMEA Treasury team the Graduate will assist the EMEA Treasury team with cash management and reporting, co-ordination and execution of payments, Trusts/LOCs management, bank facilities and FX management, ensuring proper processes and procedures are followed for FX execution and controls, treasury reconciliations and reporting, maintaining efficiency in the process to minimize idle cash and payment delays and managing treasury activities in coordination with Group Treasury and Finance teams.

Responsibilities

Assist the EMEA treasury department located in London, Paris, Dublin and Zurich in routine work on EMEA scope. 

Reporting to a member of the Treasury team in the EMEA region (Europe & South Africa), you are responsible for:

  • Preparation and distribution of weekly cash analysis for historical cashflows 
  • Participate in the daily tasks of the treasury (launch of payment requests, follow-up of signatures preparation of memos for signatories, answers to questions from our internal customers, questioning of banks, etc.)
  • Liaise with Letter of Credit providers to ensure all requests are fully and correctly processed 
  • Assist with quarterly Trust and funds withheld transfers
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and procedures and ensuing appropriate documentation and support is on file for all elements and documented in a timely manner
  • Exposure to multiple platforms (e.g. SAP and associated systems and OMEGA), and engaging with multiple stakeholders (e.g. Investment and Treasury colleagues, consultants, Group, statutory auditors)
  • Local cash management and treasury activities with responsibility for settlements, cashflow management and projections for all internal and external stakeholders
  • Bank KYC, list of authorized signatories, administration of bank accounts
  • Management and reporting of foreign currency exposures. Liaising with key stakeholders in the Company and Group Treasury to ensure appropriate foreign currency exchange hedges are put in place in accordance with Group policy 
  • Contribute to Group projects and reporting activities
  • Manage margin calls (collateral)
  • Archive statements, bank notices and other documents received by post
  • Check and review bank charges
  • Make requests to close and open bank accounts
  • Ensure the back up of people absent from the service (holidays, etc)
  • Other duties as may be deemed suitable from time to time

Qualifications

Experience

  • Accounting or Treasury experience is an advantage
