The base

We're based in the City of London - close to our clients, in the heart of the UK's financial centre and have everything we need to work flexibly.

The department

Schroders Capital offers access to a broad range of private asset investment opportunities, portfolio building blocks and customised private asset strategies. Our diversified range of investment strategies includes real estate, private equity, secondaries, venture capital, infrastructure, securitised products and asset-based finance, insurance-linked securities and impact investing.

The programme

Our 2024 Summer Internship Programme runs for 10 weeks, starting in June 2024. This Programme will provide you with a unique introduction into the investment management industry and how the Real Estate department operates within it.

You'll be given introductory training with the internship intake across the firm and more specific training within the Real Estate team, as well as opportunities to network with people across the business. During your internship you will be assigned to the Real Estate team where you will have the opportunity to shadow senior executives and provide broad real estate exposure across investment, asset management, research, sustainability, product and distribution.

The knowledge, skills and qualifications we're looking for

  • An honours degree or equivalent – we're not fussed when it comes to your degree subject or predicted grade
  • You will be in your penultimate year of study. Unfortunately we no longer accept applications from final year students considering further studies (i.e. Masters) upon completion of undergraduate course
