The base

We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018, close to our clients, in the heart of the UK’s financial centre and have everything we need to work flexibly.

The department

Business Transformation sits at the heart of the business and is responsible for enterprise wide business consultancy and change management as well as oversight of the group’s change portfolio. This can involve anything from the provision of strategy, business and operating model design, business architecture and people transformation services through to business case development and delivery of large-scale complex transformations to support commercial activity, enterprise-wide operating model transformations and the corporate change portfolio. Our Portfolio and Planning team create and track overall change budgets and business case realisation across the group. You’ll be a strong communicator, natural problem solver and keen to throw yourself into a variety of projects with a range of stakeholders.

Some of the teams in Business Transformation that you may join as part of the internship programme are: Business Transformation Solutions, Enterprise Change Delivery, and Portfolio and Planning.

The programme

This Programme will provide you with a unique introduction into the investment management industry and how Business Transformation operates within it. You’ll be given introductory training and opportunities to network with people across the business.

During your internship you will be assigned to a team within Business Transformation where you will have the opportunity to work on live projects and shadow senior executives.

Some of your tasks may include

  • Supporting workshops and documenting the output
  • Working with the Business Transformation Solutions team on a strategic initiative or supporting practice services by developing tools and methodologies
  • Acting as a Business Analyst on a large programme
  • Supporting programme managers with the development and delivery of project plans
  • Researching topics to write thought leadership pieces
  • Contributing to stakeholder management and communications
  • Delivering an internally focussed project for Business Transformation, such an AI accelerators

The knowledge, skills and qualifications we’re looking for

  • An honours degree or equivalent – we’re not fussed when it comes to your degree subject or predicted grade
  • You will be in your penultimate year of study. Unfortunately we no longer accept applications from final year students considering further studies (i.e Masters) upon completion of undergraduate course
