Location

SLB Cambridge Research (SCR) is part of SLB’s global network of research and engineering centres. SCR is a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment with state-of-the-art research and computing facilities. We work on applied research projects in the physical sciences to meet the current and future challenges of the industry.

Description & Scope

​​​​The internship will be working on the development of a generative AI solution for a domain specific real-world problem. The successful intern can expect to work with both domain experts and data scientists on a project that uses data science and AI techniques in a novel project that could then be rolled out to domain experts and operations.

Deliverables

  • The intern will work as part of a team and be mentored by a Data Scientist and they will work on a project to build a research solution for the field population and operations.
  • While working on this project, the intern will have autonomy to decide the approach and how to solve the research problem. This will enable them to develop their knowledge of Data Science, generative AI and time series data.
  • The intern will also participate in the research centre knowledge sharing and poster events
  • At the end of the project, the intern will write a project report and present the project to the peers

Required skills & qualifications

  • Master Degree - (Penultimate or Final year) in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Oral and written communication skills in English
  • Good motivation, autonomy, teamwork, and ingenuity

  • Experience with Time Serieis Data is preferred
