Lead in Data IT
You will work directly on a latest cloud based tools used across our business to onboard, analyse, share, visualise and find data easily. Whether you are a savvy Python scripter, a Business Intelligence wizard or generalist developer we have a role you can play within our data domain providing you direct interactions with our traders, analysts and support functions.
Commercial Asset Optimisation Embedded IT
The CAO UK Embedded IT team is responsible for the design, development and support of bespoke applications for RWE Supply & Trading’s mission critical short-term trading desks in Swindon. These applications perform a range of functions from trade capture and aggregation, to balancing, nomination and other downstream processes. “Embedded” means we work very closely with our customers… even when we need to work remotely, the solutions we build are tailored precisely to our customers’ needs.
You will join one of our Dev Ops Squads as an Application Developer, where you will be given full responsibility for the design, code, testing and implementation of application changes – working on developments which will directly benefit the UK trading desks.
Site Reliability Engineering
The Site Reliability Engineering Team are located across Essen(Germany), Swindon, London (UK) and are looking to expand the operations in USA. As a central team our work horizon ensures different applications support, analysing systems (ETRM , RISK etc), researches problems, maintenance, coordination, cloud native and development of Inhouse and external application tools in energy markets.
You will join as an Endur Application Analyst, focused on providing stability by monitoring the infrastructure and helping the business resolve day-to-day issues like Trade capture, APM services, EoD maintenance etc.. You would ensure reliability by defining business needs with stakeholders and performing system problem solving. Working closely with business and IT stakeholders to quick issue resolutions through an Incident Management, Problem Management, CI/CD deployment etc.
Job requirements and experiences

Right from the start, you can be part of it, as you work alongside and collaborate with some of the brightest people in the field, using new, agile techniques and technologies. You’ll learn about our global business from the inside. You will be able to increase your IT stack and business knowledge, develop competence in a range of IT languages and build a good awareness of different working cultures.
We’re looking for students who are in the penultimate year of an IT degree or a similar statistical or numerate subject such as Mathematics, Engineering or Economics, and who are ideally on course to achieve a 2:1 or higher. What you must have is:
- Excellent communication skills with fluent English
- IT proficiency
- A desire to work collaboratively with a curious approach, challenging yourself to find new solutions
- Motivated to take on new challenges, whether operating independently or in a team
- Knowledge of at least one programming language such as C#, Java or Python
- Passion for IT development and working in a DevOps environment
- Commercial aptitude and entrepreneurial skills
- Analytical mind and the ability to learn quickly
- Enthusiasm and drive to develop your skillset and seek out development opportunities within a supportive team
