We are recruiting for an Editorial Assistant to join our our content team to support deliver and create high-quality online news and content for our Drug Target Review brand across all its existing multi-media platforms (print, digital, live), which will drive new subscribers, increase reader engagement and generate revenue growth.

The successful applicant will ideally have a qualification in English, journalism, or experience working in a Content role ideally within a pharmaceutical, drug discovery, life science or similar industry. The role and function of the team requires strong writing, proofing skills, and research skills along with the ability to process quickly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Editor with delivery of content for the brand across all channels and targeting the appropriate to the audience – including website, email, print, video, podcast, and webinar.
  • Be responsible for the daily news output on the brand website.
  • Edit and proof articles, news and content as instructed by the Editor
  • Build strategic relationships with key industry influencers
  • Produce news, features and articles for digital platforms

Key Skills/Requirements

  • Evidence of assisting in delivering multi-media content
  • Degree in a journalism, communications or a related field, or related work experience
  • Strong proofing / subbing skills /attention to detail
  • Ability to undertake thorough and focused research
  • Highly organized and able to prioritise to evolving business needs
  • Attention to detail, flexible and the ability to work under pressure to meet targets
  • Interpersonal skills to enable collaborative teamwork
  • Clear and confident communicator (both written and oral)
  • Analytical with a proven track record of research and development
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent IT skills – Microsoft Office is essential, including Word and Excel. Adobe creative packages would be advantageous but not essential
