What does our M&A team do?
Our mergers and acquisition team is one of the most active advisers in the UK. We have advised on more than 1,000 deals in the past five years, working with entrepreneurs, private equity houses and large corporates.
In mergers and acquisitions, we advise shareholders and management teams who are looking to sell their business, raise money for growth, or carry out a management buy-out. Our M&A team also advises companies on identifying and executing acquisitions. We advise our clients throughout the entire transaction lifecycle to ensure they maximise value and achieve the best possible deal. This includes pitching to new clients, helping them to prepare the business for a transaction, advising on the options available, and negotiating the terms of the deal.
At RSM, we work with clients across a range of sectors, including technology, manufacturing, financial services, consumer, and business services, amongst others.
What can you expect?
At RSM, you’ll be a key member of our team from day one. Our internship programme allows you to experience working in the M&A team alongside current trainees and experienced members of the firm. This hands-on early experience is invaluable as you take the next steps in your career.
No two days are the same in M&A, and you are likely to be involved in preparing pitches, attending client meetings, producing sector research, and analysing a company’s financial performance. During your time at RSM you will have the opportunity to hit the ground running and make meaningful contributions on the projects you work on.
In addition to on-the-job training you will benefit from our internal training courses that will help you develop in the role.
