A career in tax is more than just becoming a tax adviser, you’ll be part of Team Tax, diving into the intricate world of tax laws, both in the UK and internationally, applying them into real-life solutions for our clients, help clients save money, mitigate tax risks, navigate the complex landscape of reporting requirements and help create value.
In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience, have access to on-the-job mentoring and build on your science or technology background to train towards a professional tax qualification. You will get the opportunity to work with our client’s technical experts, CTOs and chief engineers who are at the top of their field.
You’ll work with companies across all sectors, including manufacturing, engineering, life sciences, software and digital technologies to assist them to identify and prepare successful tax relief claims and access to other incentives.

What we are looking for
At RSM, we don't just look for good exam results. We think passion, personality and originality are just as important. To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills & experience will include:
- A predicted/achieved STEM undergraduate or postgraduate degree
- 112 UCAS points across 3 A Levels or an equivalent level 3 qualification; and 104 UCAS points across 4 Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or Irish Leaving Certificate (Higher Level).
- Being a team player who enjoys interacting with others and are curious about how businesses work.
- A team-oriented mindset, curiosity about business operations, and the interplay between taxation, personal wealth, and financial goals.
- Having the determination to tackle challenges head-on and apply yourself in readiness for hard work necessary to become a Tax Advisor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort with numbers, an analytical mindset and an interest in tax legislation.
- Must be willing to travel to client sites and other offices as required.
