We have an opportunity for a suitable candidate to join the LEAP East team, based in Goudhurst, Kent, as a Water Quality Analyst/ Scientist. The role would be on a full time and permanent basis, and suitable for a graduate of geology, geography or environmental science. Responsibilities
- Management of on-site safety, paperwork and subcontractors.
- Adherence to working instructions, as specified by internal and external clients.
- Supervision and management of surface water monitoring
- Data processing and data management
- Preparation of surface water/ silt management plans and mitigation measures
- Verification of silt mitigation measures
- Assisting senior staff with project related duties.
- Overseeing department equipment - allocation, hire, servicing and repairs.
Experience and qualifications

- BSc in Geology/ Geography/ Environmental Science
- An understanding of laboratory testing and interpreting results
- Previous experience undertaking groundwater monitoring programmes and a good understanding of sampling techniques would be useful but not essential
- An understanding of environmental guidance and legislation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prepared to work as part of a team or as an individual
- Adaptable to variable working environments with a love of the outdoors
- Candidates must be willing to spend a significant amount of their working day out on site
- Full driving licence and access to a car.
- Unrestricted work rights in United Kingdom
